They called multiple times. I finally answered. It took a few seconds for them to actually say hello. Sounded like an outsourced call center with accents and background noise. They claimed to microsoft tech support and asked if i was running windows on my computer. I said no and he said thank you for your time and hung up. Comment
This outfit call and claim to be from Microsoft Tech Support. They speak heaviily accented (Pakistan? India?) English and there is a riot of background noise. They claim that your computer is sending error messages to their mainframe. They ask you to turn on your computer so that they can talk you through the steps needed to remove malware from your computer. I'm pretty sure this is a phishing expedetion.‡ These comments come from users of Spokeo and from third party websites. The information may be out of date.
