Claimed they raising funds for local law enforcement agencies in iowa. Including state patrol and funds for falling officers families left behind. Asked for 25 or 35 or 50 dollar commitment. I said, 25 would be fine. The man said great! We will send you envelope so stay on line to get your information. Then some rude lady came on and was insisting my credit or debit card info. I said no, my caller ID said scam likely. And I didn't feel safe doing that. To send official letter stating your cause for my tax purposes I claimed I needed it for. I woukd send a money order. Nope, she said we would like to get it now. So we can give these funds immediately to places needed. I told her that's what all the scammers say; oh you can trust me. Is famous last words before you get scammed by anyone clinging to exploit your trust part of brain we all want to think it can't happen to us. That we are all so clever. Also, banking on you won't challenge their statement or statements in fear of being perceived as RUDE.
Well guess what the scammer hung up. Didn't want to send envelope and the alleged tax deduction proof of paperwork. Because there was no police union hiring these scum buckets from raising nothing but hell with peoples bank accounts. I hope they are all found and shot in the head.
