trying to get my information, credit cards etc. live caller on the line ... do not answer

This people are reportedly calling a lot of people in the area and they won't leave a message. When you call them back they won't say who they are but will demand to know who you are. Because of the aggressiveness and because bill collectors are not supposed to give out information regarding the debt I suspect they are a bill collector. I've noted of these spoofed numbers being used and I will get of handful of calls from a variety of seemingly local numbers over the period of an hour to an hour and a 1/2. When I look up the number it's usually of someone elderly. I've replied with please text me and ended up communicating with a lady who said no one had called me from that number but she keeps getting these messages from people stating that they received calls from her number. This makes me think even more that it is a debt collector hiding who they are to get people to answered the phone as people are more likely to answer a local number probably.
