I am an executive assistant to the director of a business. I first received a phone call that showed 0000000 as the incoming number. The man on the other end wanted to speak to our director who was not in at the time. I asked the man for his name, business, and telephone number. He would not give it to me. Seeing that the phone number was not a professional number, I asked the man if he was a telemarketer. The man answered, saying that he was not and that he was offended that I would suggest such a thing. We hung up. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from (702) 614-5500 and the same man asked to speak to the director. Again, I said that he was not in the office and that I recognized his voice from the previous call. I again asked for his name, company, and phone number and that I would give the message to our director. The man would not give it to me. He then said that he was going to file a complaint against me for even suggesting that he was a telemarketer.
