I called this number that was listed on my answering machine which came with a "code". T\When I called, the person at the other end was very young and had no idea what to do when I asked her for information from her. The first question from her was what was my pin number. I told her that I will contact Discover and thanked her for her help. I contacted Discover and there was fraudulent activity on my card today, June 14, 2023, and Discover closed my account and will investigate. They also sent me a new card.

This call reported an issue with my Discover card. I called Discover and it appears the call is a scam.

I have gotten this n0. twice telling me some thing about a credit card, WHAT I do not know.
Did not leave a message. How do I find out who called for free? Many sights say free but the are not free. They want to charge my credit card 95 cents

I can't determine if this a business or a scam.

Is this a legitimate business?
This is regarding phone number 800-350-4577, I didnt pick up the phone and it left me a message saying that it was the Discover card company and I need to call to review something that was potentially fraudulent. It sounded very fake and like a scam, so I called the actual Discover card customer service numberand it turns out that it actually WAS from them and I needed to verify a charge (which turned out not fraudulent but they were just checking). However, because this sounds very much like a phishing attempt, as people probably know if they are coming to this website, it is best to contact the actual company rather than some random suspicious sounding message.
This was a legitimate call from Discover Card Fraud department. I received a text and an e-mail (my choice) the day prior regarding some possible fraudulent activity. Instead of answering the call from the unknown number, I called Discover using the number on the back of my card and found the activity mentioned in the voicemail was accurate.
