This is absolutely Bank of America people. I just cant get over the comments on here about fraud and extortion. Do people just love to cause trouble?

This number is legit. I verified it with my local Bank of America branch and with the credit card fraud department.

The owners/users of this number are criminals. They should be put in jail.

They just call me at 12:40 eastern time talking about BOA AND Fraud

Received a physical snail-mail form from this fraudulent agency dated the same day as I opened a new account claiming suspicious activity. Called BoA number on the back of my credit card and they said this is a fraud and not to deal with them.

They left a voice mail to call back at that #. I called the B of A phone # on the back of my card. Most definitely some sort of fraud!

Identity theft!!! Be cautious. Ive called BoA official customer service number and they confirmed THIS IS NOT BOA number. If you are looking up this number, you probably already became a victim of identity theft. Check your credit reports!! Lock your credit reports as soon as possible and report to the police.

Complete scam, don't fall for it. I have no idea who put the favorable comments on here but assume they are part of the scam. It is well played except for the wrong account number and the "If we don't hear from you we'll have to close your account statement". Would be nice to see authorities go after these types of criminals. If you get a request to call this number, report it to your bank.

Received an official-looking letter that said to call this number right away because they "detected suspicious activity on [my] credit card, and as a precaution, we've temporarily suspended your account." I checked my account, and nothing was out of the ordinary. Another red flag is that this was dated several months ago, but the letter claimed they would close my account if they didn't hear from me "within the next 25 days". Clearly, that didn't happen. Another telling sign is that the official BoA website doesn't have this number listed.

Received what looks like an official letter from Bank of America requesting to call this number immediately due to suspicious activity, but it is a scam. Do not call this number! Call the number only on the back of your card.

I got a voice mail message to call this number. Instead, I decided to log into my account online to check the status. There was a hold on my account, and it gave this very number to call: "We noticed some unusual activity on your account. To protect your account, we've restricted your card until you review some recent transactions. Call us immediately at 1-800-427-2449 or international collect at 609-459-5004"

This number is definitely legit. I got a voice mail message from BofA regarding the credit card acct I had just opened. I did not trust this number that it said to call, so I called the number on the back of my credit card. Turned out there was a hold on my card, and that the number I was given was good, and would have reached them as well.

Recently signed up to get a CC from BoA, I received three envelope in a matter of a week. One, telling me my application was approved, the second containing my new card and the CC info, and the third telling me there was "Suspicious" activity on my account, to call the number right away and as as a precaution, my account was temporarily suspended. The letter went on to say BoA "tried" to reach me but could not and if they did not hear from me within 25 days my account would be closed and it would not be reactivated. It all looks real and seems real, but there is one issue. I had not even opened the envelope containing my card yet. How could there be activity on my account????

I received mail by USPS to call them, claiming my BofA card was suspended. It was not! I called the real BofA and indeed they confirmed there was no suspension. This number is fraud.

Fraud!!! Received the letter and hadnt even activated my card yet!! I called the number to just mess with them and tell them what a p.o.s they are!!!!
