Received email supposedly from Bank of America warning of suspicious activity on my account. Said to call this number. I called BA using another number and they didn't know anything about the email and there was no problem with my account.

This is the legitimate Bank of America fraud department. I had an issue with my card last night trying to buy a gift card at a restaurant even though I have used the card there to eat before. I got immediate texts about possible fraud that night and got a call from this number in the morning about the same incident.

Claimed to be Bank of America Fraud Dept. Check with BofA confirms it is not. However 2 suspicious charges were denied today one for $1 and one for 1 cent which is a tactic of skammers. This card now inactivated requiring the issue of a new card.

Received a text to call Bank of America with th following message - "your account security is our top priority. It is important that we speak with you. Please call Bank of America at 844-585-0488". This text came as a result of a luring scheme to get a $100 Walmart debit card for $5.95. Too good to be true is too good to be true.

Recorded message stating it was from Bank of America regarding possible fraudelent charges on my credit card. Not sure if this is the correct number to check and verify, as it is different than the one on the back of my card.

At first I thought it was a fraudulent call from Bank of America and hung up. Then I logged in to my account and sure enough there was a charge in question on my account. Since was the call was in a computer voice typical of spam calls, I didn't trust it.
