Similar to recent comments - got multiple aggressive calls. Ignored most of them and finally picked one up and they said multiple firearm purchases were made on a credit card under my name at BoA that was opened a month ago.
I have 0 accounts at BoA/Merrill Lynch and have never had any association, so obviously false and I told them so. I hung up and they continued to call over and over again before I blocked the number.

They claim I made a charge on a credit card that I don't own. They wanted to transfer me to the security center to get this handled. I asked for the number to call myself and she answered with "here's the thing our security center doesn't have a direct line..." and I hung up.

Received same letter as described in 11-24-21 comment. Took it to local Merrill Office. They said the letter is definitely not legit and we shouldn't call this number.

We receivec a letter in the mail to call this number. The letter had the Merrill Edge logo and looked legit. But the return address was not the same as our usual statements from Merrill Edge. Also this number is not on any previous Merrill Edge statments we have.
The letter states taht we need to call to confirm our account information, otherwise our account may become restricted. Good think I checked Spokeo first!

Identified herself as with Microsoft Edge and then asked me to verify some information. When I asked what she was calling about she said she couldn't tell me that I needed to call back if I felt uncomfortable. I didn't call back. If they can't tell me why they are calling we have nothing to talk about.!!!
