This is from Wise County, TX Detenyion Center. If yo want to answer the 1st call is free. After that you have to set up an account with money on it through Correct Solutions or the inmate can add money from their own account to their phone account and pay for their own calls and it won't cost you anything.

I receive calls from this number at least ten times a day. My phone tells me it is from a jail/prison. I do not have anyone in my family incarcerated. I do not answer but they keep calling.

Does anyone know if this is a general number for inmates from ALL prison systems
in the U.S.? Internet shows it as an inmate line both in Florida and Arkansas.
I do have a friend in a Texas prison. I'm okay with him calling. Was under the
impression though that it had to be set up in advance (writing and hasn't been yet)
The area he's in seems to have stopped a lot of his incoming mail (it comes back to me stamped
delivery not permitted, something like that). Don't know if this is due to covid.
Any info would be appreciated.

I talked to the prison and was told that this was the number for the telephone company from which inmates make their allowed calls. They had never been told of this before and I was assured they would look into it.

We have received more than 3 dozen calls from this number and it leaves a voicemail that
"this person has a mailbox" and then "this call is being terminated......MARK IT DNA AS IN 'DO NOT ANSWER' but you will still have voicemails.
